![]() ![]() ![]() Other than that I don't use RGB, I just leave it disabled. ![]() There is a workaround for getting RGB working on ASUS motherboards without armoury crate, you just need the lighting control service, I use it so the RGB on my motherboard indicates CPU temperatures. Armoury crate, Cosair iCUE, Razer Synapse, all uninstalled and blocked from installing themselves if I plug a new device in (looking at you razer synapse). RGB apps (most of them anyway) are indeed huge resource hogs so I don't allow them on my computer. HWinfo does but I don't leave it running all the time, I only use it for troubleshooting and benchmarking so most of the time it's not running. MSI AB doesn't use much resources, especially if you reduce the polling rate. if I'm playing a steam game then EA/ubisoft/battle eye etc are all shut down and not running, only steam is allowed to run. For example I only have launchers open while I'm playing their games. It might for you, it doesn't for me.Īlso their performance impact can be minimized further. Most of the MS crapware I mentioned earlier doesn't really provide a useful service. Click to expand. Those all perform a useful service so their minimal performance impact is worth it. ![]()
